013: From Fear to Freedom: Dana Croschere's Healing Journey

Dana Croschere is an award-winning filmmaker and passionate storyteller whose newest documentary, RESCUED HEARTS, is a dream that has been years in the making. After spending over 15 years volunteering at horse ranches and witnessing the extraordinary healing power of the horse-human connection, Dana knew she was meant to tell this story.

The inspiration for her filmmaking journey came from one of the most challenging seasons of her life. Following two failed spine surgeries and a long battle with chronic pain, Dana embarked on a deeply personal path of self-discovery and healing—an experience that birthed her first film, LOVE HEALS, which has since touched countless lives around the world.

Dana and her partner Krisanna are devoted to making films that spread love, hope, and healing. With RESCUED HEARTS, they are capturing the magic, mystery and science of healing with horses—and inviting audiences to witness the profound ways horses can help us open our hearts and connect more deeply with our authentic selves. The film premieres in Santa Barbara on May 2 and will be released worldwide in a virtual screening this Fall.
